Hello fellow space explorers. Welcom to the page devoted entirely to Noctis, a space exploration game. Note that before you continue, this game has fabulous gameplay, a great engine.... and was originally programmed for DOS, though it works on Windows(including XP). So, if you're looking for one of those next-gen graphic games, you've come to the wrong place.

However, if you're looking for a game with endless adventure, a whole galaxy that you can name every star and planet, learn about already named planets from real people who left comments there, and add your own, then you're in the right place. No other space exploration game can offer the open-ended experience of Noctis. Plus, hopefully sometime this year (2006), the next version titled Noctis V will be released!

So, to stop my babling and get to the adventure, here goes! By the way, click on the images to enlarge them.

June 27, 2006

I started Noctis IV for the first time today. It was hard at first, till I finally decided to go read that manual. Anyway, I started exploring.

I visited several named planets and stars, the  first with life being Peach (planet) which got its name from the trees it has:

Not much later, I discovered a nameless star:

This was a S00-class star, meaning it could support life. I named it "CELESTION DE HOPPION". Looking around, I found the perfect planet. Moments after landing I saw a variety of sites and glimpses of weird birds. Also, I soon had an encounter with a kangaroo-rabit hybrid creature, which I followed with great interest:

I tired out eventually, though, and returned to my ship. This planet I named "HOPPION". After more exploring, I reached a S06-class star, which is where the ship's fuel comes from. I went to this and started refining:

After fueling up, I continued exploring. I reached another system and explored its planets:

Well, this ends today's log. If you wanna explore it yourself, then download my OUTBOX.zip file at the bottom of this page, explore, and read my logs! To use it, put it in the noctis/data folder and rename it INBOX.zip. The location of the star I visited was 3456784, 5373903, -3082050. I also visited DUSTION, FENIA, QUARION, and a few others I forget.

Download the OUTBOX file now!

Anyway, thanks for checking out the Noctis section! I'll see you next update!

And if you want to tell me about your adventures, feel free to do so through my contact page. So, happy star-surfin'!
